Our Story
Blueprint on 3rd was shaped by experience, long-standing relationships, and a clear sense of what makes a restaurant feel right. Owner and operator Dean Robb began his career in hospitality at The Victoria, A Country Inn, before spending 17 years working alongside Frank Stitt at Bottega Restaurant and Bottega Café. During that time, he developed a strong foundation in both service and kitchen culture, learning the value of consistency, attention to detail, and creating an environment guests want to return to.
After opening concepts in Nashville, including Watermark and Miro District, Dean returned to Birmingham with a goal to build something of his own that reflected the city’s character. That vision took shape through a partnership with Jim Keet, bringing together a team that understood both the food and the feeling of a well-run restaurant.
From the beginning, Blueprint on 3rd was designed to be a place that feels comfortable without losing its edge. Today, it continues to reflect that original idea, grounded in experience, shaped by its people, and built for guests who appreciate thoughtful dining.
